We came third in one round and fourth the second, out of about twelve teams. A respectable showing, but the second round final question was about George Romero and collectively we’ve only seen one of his films.

Dracula (1958)

“A reason! You ask for a reason! Is it not reason enough that he keeps me locked up in this house, holds me against my will? You can have no idea of what an evil man he is or the terrible things he does. I could not…dare not…try to leave on my own. He would find me again, I know. But, with you to help me, I would have a chance. Oh, you must help me. You must! You’re my only hope. You must!”

Solidly entertaining. While it might have been nice if it stuck closer to the plot of the book, a sprightly 82 minute running time is adequate compensation for the changes. And Christopher Lee’s physicalilty and presence is just…so good. Wow.
