Halloween 2024: Day All Hallows' Eve

Scream (1996)

“No, please don’t kill me, Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequel!”

Another comfortable old friend, this time it was the start of a Matthew Lillard-themed triple feature of films that we didn’t have to pay much attention to.

Scooby Doo: The Movie (2002)

“Look, I’m a man of substance. Dorky chicks like you turn me on, too.”

Thir13een Ghosts (2001)

“I used to hunt displaced spiritual energies with your uncle.”

This was really just background for a rousing game of Big Boggle, but I like this film and think more people should watch it.

So Thirsty, Rachel Harrison

For someone who supposedly spends all of her time thinking about how things can go wrong our main character sure decides to grab the obvious idiot ball surprisingly often (whenever doing otherwise would be inconvenient for the plot.)

We also never really get a moment of clarity and catharsis for our deuteragonist, just a kind of affirmation that their relationship has survived their transformation.
