This iteration of Scream concludes with a two-part special that tells a self-contained story. This avoids most of the problems that the season had by not letting the writers drag things out while still providing enough time for several red herrings. It did make me glad that they never got a third season (there’s kind of a third season but it’s not the same show) because the end of this story teed up a twist that I would have hated and the showrunners would not have been able to resist.
