Black Panther
Thor: Ragnarok is about the effects of imperialism on those engaged in it, while Black Panther is about its effects on those subjected to it.
Killmonger is a metaphor for toxic masculinity. Just as the socialization of males provides a limited range of acceptable emotional responses that is difficult to move beyond when faced with situations where they are inapplicable, Killmonger was taught a limited range of acceptable tactical responses by the apparatus of imperialism and continued to apply them even after he thought he had thrown off the constraints imposed by that society.
