Halloween 2024: Day 7
Color Out of Space
“Okay, you know, I’ve had it with your drama, Lavinia, so do me a favor and get the fuck out of my sight, okay? No, no, actually, I’ll save you the trouble and get the fuck out of yours!”
Over all the rest reigned that riot of luminous amorphousness, that alien and undimensioned rainbow of cryptic poison from the well—seething, feeling, lapping, reaching, scintillating, straining, and malignly bubbling in its cosmic and unrecognisable chromaticism. It was magenta.
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
“The bodies must be carried to the street and burned. They must be burned immediately. Soak them with gasoline and burn them. The bereaved will have to forgo the dubious comforts that a funeral service will give. They’re just dead flesh. And dangerous.”
Another classic we had never seen. Very charming, apart from the fact that you could cast Barbra as a five-year-old child without changing her character.
