Children of the Corn (1984)

“It looks like some sort of primitive folk art.”

This is a fairly effective and enjoyable 35 minute film, I think. Unfortunately it’s 92 minutes long.

Disciples of the Crow

“We offer this corn to the glory of your almighty power. Offer any clean animal, but do not offer crows because they are sacred.”

The first adaptation of Stephen King’s short story “The Children of the Corn”, this 19-minute short was made one year before its more famous successor.

It makes a lot of really strange changes, like renaming Gatlin to Jonah and moving it to Oklahoma. And adding crows.

Not really worth seeking out, unless you’re a big fan of screeching sounds.
