Killer Cakes S01E01-02

Standard baking show: teams are given too little time because of production constraints, but manage to mostly showcase their talents anyway. The USP here (besides Matthew Lillard as the host) is horror-themed cakes with assistance from two SFX experts who help the bakers rig up moving parts, lights, etc. Easy watch, but nothing unmissable.

Waking the Witch, WarPigs Brewing

Blackened Imperial India Pale Ale. Any dark malt flavour is buried under the standard IPA megadose of citrusy hops. Roastiness comes through a little on the finish, I guess.
