Moderately terrible. I’m not a fan of fated mates unless it’s executed to a very high standard, and this wasn’t. I’m also sometimes willing to put up with it if the surrounding story is at least interesting, and this wasn’t. It’s just a series of things happening one after another with no emotional weight or meaning. ⭐
